Welcome to Achef, a product of Wheels Beyond LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our platform at achef.com, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Platform Overview

Achef is an event-first food vendor operations platform. Organizers create food events, invite vendors (food trucks, restaurants, home chefs, caterers, bakeries, food carts), attendees discover events, RSVP, pre-order food, and check in. Vendors manage menus, accept orders, and receive payments.

2. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Account types include: Attendee, Vendor Owner, and Admin.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

  • Vendors must hold all required food handling permits and business licenses.
  • Vendors are responsible for the quality and safety of food served.
  • Vendors must accurately represent menu items, prices, and availability.
  • Vendor accounts require verification before participating in events.

4. Organizer Responsibilities

  • Organizers must have a verified organization to create events.
  • Organizers are responsible for event logistics, permits, and venue arrangements.
  • For corporate events with credits, organizers are responsible for post-event vendor settlement payments.

5. Orders and Payments

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • Prices displayed include applicable taxes.
  • A platform service fee may apply to orders.
  • Refunds for cancelled orders are processed back to the original payment method.
  • Vendors receive payouts via Stripe Connect.

6. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Achef related to your orders, events, and account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your usage.

  • Text STOP to any message to opt out of SMS notifications.
  • Text HELP for assistance.
  • Opting out of SMS does not affect your account or ability to use the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Achef, including logos, design, and software, is owned by Wheels Beyond LLC. Users retain ownership of content they upload (menu items, images, event descriptions).

8. Limitation of Liability

Achef is a platform connecting event organizers, food vendors, and attendees. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of food served by vendors. We are not liable for any disputes between users. Our total liability is limited to the amount of platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are otherwise harmful to the platform or its users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Santa Clara County, California.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
